In addition to her time at A Woman’s Place, Casey has also worked with adolescents for the past 8 years, 2 of which she held a position as a youth pastor. She feels strongly that God has given her a heart and compassion for adolescents and has spent a lot of her time the past 8 years mentoring, counseling, and teaching Biblical truth to the adolescents that God has led to her.
Though adolescents has been her passion for quite sometime, throughout her Master’s Degree program, she learned that her passion didn’t reside with only adolescents, but with hurting people as a whole. Her goal for this ministry is to provide a safe and comfortable place for each individual to share his or her life struggles. She would love nothing more but to join in with you on the process of developing hope, obtaining joy, and finding peace, regardless of life’s circumstances.
One of Casey’s favorite Bible verses is Song of Songs 8:7 “Many water’s cannot quench love, nor can river’s drown it”. Though that may appear to be an unconventional verse, Casey uses this imagery of God’s love for us, to motivate her to love everyone in the way that Christ does. Without expectations or demands, fully appreciating the fact that everyone was created in the Image of God.
Casey’s areas of specialties are: adolescent counseling, family counseling, married couples, pre-marital counseling, pre-engagement counseling, family members affected by a loved one’s addiction, anxiety and depression.
